Trouble Recording with a Guitar
« on: February 16, 2019, 10:05:34 PM »
I have a friend who plays his guitar while I play away on my T4.  We make good music.  Now I wanted to record a tune....me on the KB my friend playing his guitar.  So, I set my Mic so that it picks up his guitar.....solo no problem, it sounds good.  However, when I select a style and play and he plays his guitar the sound is very distorted.  What am I not doing, should I set up the KB differently...or perhaps what I want to do can't be done.  ???   Flip

You're problem is the mic is picking up your playing as well as his.

If it's an electric guitar, you're better off using LineIn.
