Attachment Space

Roger informed me today that we have run out of room for attachments.  Or, more precisely, the space allocated for attachments was filled up.  I'm not sure exactly how much space is available on the server, but I have increased the space being devoted to attachments by 20% so we should be OK for quite awhile now. Sorry if you encountered problems uploading your files.  You should now be able to upload new files again.

Hi Joe,

Were attachments 'lost' when the forum messages were lost last year?

If the attachments from the lost messages are still on a server, they are not much use without the posts since they presumably can't be accessed!

So if they are, perhaps you may as well delete them to create some more space.

Regards

I believe the SMF software deletes attachments if the post itself is deleted.  But it is worth checking out that attachments folder just to be sure.
