Help With Pedal Jack Socket Failure
« on: December 09, 2018, 09:41:03 AM »
I have lost the connection to one of my pedal jack sockets.

I use two simple (Yamaha) on/off foot switches connected to the two sockets on the back of my s970, and have used the arrangement for three years. My startup registration allocates Pedal 1 to the Harmony/Arpeggio function and Pedal 2 to Fill Self. The Pedal 2 socket has stopped working; Pedal 1 works OK. I exchanged the foot controllers and the same applies, i.e. the pedal from Socket2 worked fine in Socket1; the pedal from Socket1 did nothing in Socket2.Therefore, the pedals themselves are OK. I tried other functions for Pedal 2, Main C, Intro1, etc. Nothing.

Help!

Panic Over
I had overlooked the fact that Pedal2 had been given the job of stepping thro' the Registration Sequence, and so it should have been obvious that the pedal wasn't available to do another  task.
