Topic: Need help in recording the songs to my PC

I am new to recording. Can any one help me on which software can i use for record the audio output to my laptop ?

I am currently using the Audacity software, but what happens is while recording it also records the external noises along with the keyboard sound. Which looks like it is recording from the external mic and not from the line in.

Any help on this would be highly appreciated.

Just a thought...It could be recording via your web cam Microphone and not from Line Input. Check your Audacity software input settings.

Yes. I did the same mistake! You have to tell Audacity to record from your audio interface.
