Hi,
Like last year, this site will still give us some gifts with an advent calendar to discover every day. I'm looking forward to seeing it. As for the ppf that are proposed, some are interesting, others less but there is the choice. And then, nothing prevents to work in the own way of everyone!  :D ;) 8)

Hi Steve,

I recommend the following:

First make a new, empty Pack in YEM and import the 24 ppf Packs (in the original order) to this Pack.

Now mark all STEREO Voices and export this content as a new ppf Pack. Then de-mark the STEREO Voices but mark all MONO Voices and export that content as a second, new ppf Pack.

You can either include the DRUM Voices to those Packs, or you can make a third Pack, only with the CMS DRUM Voices.

Best regards,
Chris

Thank you Chris, you must have read my mind thats exactly what I did, i took away all the mono sounds and the bell sounds.
I must say the choral sounds nice and the violin as well.
Thanks again Chris for directing us to this web site, Happy Christmas and Happy New Year.

Effectively, strings from Genos are very good, but I find these ones more than one level higher (cellos, violas, violin 1)

All these gifts from CMS show that with a lot of memory, the sound quality can even be better.

Alas all I get is a load of numbers and figures when clicking on packs. It seems if you use Windows Edge for your browser you can not download anything from here. Shame.

Try right-clicking on a link and choosing “save as” to see if that helps.

Eileen, sadly Microsofts browsers are not what they used to be. Chrome would be a much better choice these days - also in terms of safety btw. Probably why the browser marketshares looks like this https://www.statista.com/statistics/544400/market-share-of-internet-browsers-desktop/. Chrome 67%, IE and Edge barely over 10% together, Firefox 10%, etc.

I can barely count the number of times my students or colleagues ask me when they have trouble viewing a particular website and my answer "go Chrome" makes everything work. So thats my advice here as well https://www.google.com/chrome/

Eileen: Just download Mozilla firefox. It is a much better browser than Windows Edge, and I think you will have no problem downloading the packs :)

Great, thanks for sharing!

BTW I have downloaded all the CMS Christmas PPF files and wonder if it is better to add each one you want to use as a separate extension on YEM or pack them into only one extension (which I think can be done, even if I don't know how yet)

With YEM. You start by creating an empty pack on Yem. Then, you double click on it (top part of the screen). On the bottom part, you see its content (initially empty). You have a "+" sign just above on which you click. A menu appears in which you can select the "import" option. So, you can individually import the ppf files into the same pack.

I tried Firefox but did not like it. I don't have any trouble downloading any other files only this particular site.
  Seems strange.

Hi Eileen

Like yourself I had the same problems downloading these files using Microsoft Edge so I downloaded Google Chrome browser, that solved the problem, also browsing is much quicker now using Chrome.

Happy new year to you and thanks to all for sharing these sounds.
