Multi Pad and effects
« on: August 25, 2018, 03:45:37 PM »
Hi,

I made some Multi Pad with audio link, but I can’t put effects on it. I’ve tried with reverb on the mixer page, but it doesn’t work.
I wonder if it’s possible…

in other words: is it possible to add reverb for example on a multipad audio ? it doesn’t work.

something else, when I make a sound in R1, I have the impression that the equalization settings on the mixer have no effect at all.

The mixer works with midi voices so if the pad is directly playing an audio file the reverb may not be designed to work with it.
I find the EQ in mixer is effective on the panel voices eg. R1. (You need to be in the Panel 1 tab and select the R1 EQ settings). To me it has the same effect as altering the EQ gains in the voice editor, although the units used are annoyingly different!

Thanks.
EQ works. It was because of the sound itself.
But no effect on audio MP.

Hi
You need a daw and then you can add effects to wave files to your hearts content.

I know, but I thought it was possible directly in the Genos.
It would have been nice.
That said, it’s a wonderful device. What a joy to work with !

Just thinking about it, if you could use the audio to create an expansion voice in YEM, that should then respond to reverb (and other midi settings) just like any other voice. Instead of playing the audio linked to an audio Multipad, just trigger the expansion voice itself.

I’ve tried to make a drum kit with YEM with other samples than drums’s ones. It didn’t work.
it would have allowed me to have many samples on one voice.
I’ll try in voice mode, but only 8 samples against 76 more or less in drumkit mode.
I’ll have to try again.
YEM tells me An error occurred and wave data could not be imported.
