Flash Memory Screws Needed
« on: July 17, 2018, 12:28:49 AM »
Hi everyone,

Where can I buy those extra screws for my 2 flash memories cards?  They are old model ones.
Right now I only have 1 screw for my 2 modules for traveling.  Please see attachment.

Thanks

Hmm...looks like the kind of thing computer repair shops would have lying around in their spare parts trays.

Hi dv01,

this type of screw is called a "spacer bolt". You could find those parts by using "Google Pictures": :)

Hi dv01,

to my knowledge, these "spacers" are attached firmly to the YAMAHA modules FL512M/FL1024M:

Neither in the Tyros5 Service Manual nor in the Owner's Manual of the YAMAHA Expansion Memory modules (FL512/FL1024) I could find further information about these spacers.

On the other hand, with the MUTEC modules (a German Company) FMC-05, FMC-06 or FMC-07 (compatible with Tyros5) such spacers are attached loosely:

In the Installation Manual for the MUTEC modules  the dimensions of these "spacers" are given as follows:

2 x spacers with M4 inside & outside threading, 8mm height

https://www.mutec-net.com/downloads/manuals/MUTEC_FMC-05-06-07_DE_screen.pdf

https://www.mutec-net.com/product_fmc-567.php#download

Unfortunately, I can NOT give a guarantee that the dimensions of this "MUTEC" spacers will work for you.

Best regards,
Chris
