super articulation vs live piano
« on: July 06, 2018, 04:45:05 PM »
Hello all

I always wondered why all the preset styles on T4 had Live! Piano instead of the Super Art. Piano
was it because Yamaha was lazy to program it  and they just "copied and pasted" styles from T3?

would there be a good reason for not using S.Art Piano in the styles?  ???

regards

I'm not sure about the Piano voices
But if you listen to the guitar voice
S.art isn't going to sound good.

According to what I read in this forum
The S.art piano Voice sounds the same as Live.
Not sure what's the extra element added.

Hi --

If you press the Voice INFO button, you'll get information about the voice. The ConcertGrand voice displays:

"Akustischer fluegel auf der Grundlage von Yamahas weltberuhmten Konzert fluegel CFIIIs Concert Grand. Multi-sampling wird verwendet, um ausdrucksstarke klangfarbenanderungen je nach anschlagstarke zu erzeugen. Super Articulation sorgt fur resonanzen und die gerausche beim loslassen der tasten."

Translated:

"Acoustic pianos, based on Yamaha's world-famous grand piano CFIIIS Concert Grand. Multi-sampling is used to produce expressive timbre changes depending on the stop strong. Super Articulation provides for resonances and the sounds when the keys are released."

Hope this helps -- pj
