quick midi editing question
« on: June 12, 2018, 11:15:45 AM »
I was wondering if it is possible to change the octave of 1 channel of a midi file on the 770. Trying to set up an exterior harmonizer  (tc helicon voicelive touch) to read the exact notes coming from 1 channel, but it comes out 1-2 octaves low. Havent yet found the ability to do it at the harmonizer end. As always your help is greatly appreciated

I know very little about midi but this may help. If you set the harmonizer to receive Port 1, Channel 3, that should correspond to the Left voice. Set the Left voice to your choice and once selected, press the 'Voice Set' button to enter the options. Under 'Common' you can  drop it by the required octave/s. I hope that does it for you :)

Open the Song Creator, go to the Channel tab then move down to option 4, "channel transpose".
