Sampling and EDM fun with PSR E463 - Keyboard Center video
« on: June 05, 2018, 01:05:47 AM »
Hi guys and gals,

Just have a look at this PSR E463 demo video by two (high) guys form Keyboard Center. Honestly, I haven’t had so much sampling fun since the Casio SK1 went on the market many, many years ago.

This video is a must for all low-fi and EDM music lovers. Why the heck would you want a Genos for anyway...?

Here’s the link:

Past keyboards: PSR E313, PSR E413, PSR E433, PSR S550, DGX 640, upright piano.
Now: DGX 650, Casio CT-X800.

Thanks for the link Vinciane.

Interesting video.  The whole time I watched it I was thinking about things to come with the next PSR that will replace the S975. It should have all those features and more.

Hi Joe,

I am surprised. I thought that all these features were already on the PSR S670 (excepted the onboard digital audio interface) and everything upper.  ::)
Which features of the PSR E463 are NOT on the PSR S975?

Regards,

Vinciane.

I don't think they have "quick sampling," nor do they have "patterns"-- or "grooves," as Yamaha is now calling them-- although I guess their ability to load and play audio files and new voices, as well as their Style Creator and multi pads, might allow creative users to do some of what we saw in that video.

As Michael has said.  The S970 / S975 do not have "Patterns" or  sampling. The patterns on the E463 are different than the DJ styles found on the S770, S970, S975 and Genos. The Patterns I heard are much closer to Club Dance and Trance music than the DJ styles which are Pop EDM.  Also the mid range and TOTL arrangers do not have USB Audio.  The Live Control and arpeggiator are a features that have come up from the lower priced arrangers and have made it to the Genos.
