Ingar, my guess is the Genos is a solid colored. Probably an injection molding process. The reason I say that is, my Genos had a surface defect. Yamaha gave me a cash settlement because I live in Canada, and we aren't due for another batch until July! Yamaha were willing to give me a direct swap for a new board but not one 5 months old. I took the money. The coloring below the defect is just like the surface color. It's not grey or white (for example).
