Hello!
« on: March 14, 2018, 11:32:16 AM »
Hi all!

I’m very glad to be here.  My first arranger was a PSR-740.  Then I moved up to an S910 a few years back, and just this week got a new S970.  Very excited!

There is sooomuch great material here!  I already ordered a bunch of stuff.   :)

I’m something of a geek.  I’ve made my living in Information Technology since the late 80s.  Started playing the organ back in grade school.  When this new technology called “MIDI” appeared on the scene in ‘82, I helped a friend who owned a music store figure out how it all worked.

I’ve been hooked ever since. 8)

Hi Jim,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for becoming a member.  I'm sure you're going to learn a great deal about your new PSR-S970 keyboard here on the forum and will experience many pleasurable hours playing it.

I hope I greeted you properly, as I saw your name on your signature line was Jim; however, your profile shows you to be female.

You indicated that you have already ordered some of our website resources.  Just as soon as Joe Waters processes your order, he will modify your member status as a Supporter.  At that point you will have access to the Charter Member's boards, which I have mentioned below, so some of that information will be redundant to you.  We're so glad that you've decided to support this great website.

You’ll want to be sure to visit the Home page and check out some of the tutorials you will find links to there.  This link will take you to the Home page of the website: http://psrtutorial.com/

Should you later decide to become a supporting member, which will include lifetime membership, other forum boards will become available to you, as well as a wealth of additional musical knowledge; however, there is absolutely no obligation to do so.  You may also use the following link to discover the full benefit of becoming a Supporting Member of the PSR Tutorial.

http://www.psrtutorial.com/forum/index.php/topic,15536.0.html

You’ll also gain access to an Excel Song Index database, made available to supporting members by our good friend Peter (XeeniX), which presently contains 48,000 plus song titles in over 700 indexed books.  This index is updated often.

In lieu of making a donation only, you may also order any of the websites resources, which can be found at the following link:

http://psrtutorial.com/cdrom/productsum.html

Joe Waters updated “Supporting the PSR Tutorial”, on August 27, 2017, which can be found here:

https://psrtutorial.com/cdrom/index.html

Finally, if you would like to be included in our PSR Tutorial Member Map that will allow you to place your Pin on the map, which will disclose your location to other forum members, you’ll find information at the following link:

https://www.psrtutorial.com/forum/index.php/topic,41022.msg321765/topicseen.html#msg321765

We’re so glad you've decided to become a member and very happy you've decided to become a part of this great forum family.  If you have any questions, then please just ask.  There are many members here that are always very willing to help you.
"Music Is My Life"
My best regards,
Roger

Hi,

Just wanted to let you know I received my flash drive - with its 85,000+ files on it! - safe and sound.  I don't think I'm going to live long enough to look at all this stuff.  :)

I'm looking forward to seeing what's available on the "Supporting Member" boards, too - even more cool stuff to absorb.

hello Jim,
Welcome to the group.  I see you started with the 740.  I still have mine.  have moved up to a used 3000 just a whyle back and have been learning a slew of stuff from the forum and the lessons.  The newer kbs have a great deal of stuff to learn.

I also notice you're from se Mich.  I was born & raised in Western Mich.  Muskegon.  Left home at graduation from high school to join Army.  Served in assorted Army Bands and retired in 92.  Now living in Morth central Arkansas.  Mountain home.  No desire to go back to the winters of michigan.  A buetiful 72 degrees today.
