Topic: Which time signature is this song

Hi,

Following is the youtube link of a Indian Classical song - "Bhay Bhanjana Vandana Sun Hamari"  The song beat starts from 30 seconds in the link.

Could some body let me know which time signature is this song. Is there any Genos onboard style to fit it ? Its a very complex beat.

I guess the time signature is 5/4. There is no preset style that fits that kind of music. You may want to check Yamaha Music Soft, there you find some Indian voice/style packs. There is even a free pack for download.

Thanks for taking time out to reply. If Yamaha does not have 5/4 preset styles, I am sure there are other guys who have them here, or maybe in the board itself. I don't need the styles to be necessarily in Indian Drum kit. Any drum kit would be fine. 

Request anybody who has styles in this 5/4 time signature to please share it.

In fact, there is a 5/4 preset style, it's FiveFour to be found in the Jazz category. It's targeted at Dave Brubeck's famous Take Five, which is a swinging uptempo number. That's why I didn't mention it, I can't imagine that this style would help for your Indian song.
