Hi,
After exploring some UVF (XML), I started thinking about SArt voices, which should make use AWM2 voice controls similar to Motif/Montage Expanded Articulation.
First off, it looks like UVF supports the following voice types:
uvf:VOICE_COMMON_DRUM_KIT
uvf:VOICE_COMMON_EKB_NORMAL
uvf:VOICE_COMMON_SVAEM
uvf:VOICE_COMMON_ORGAN_FLUTE
uvf:VOICE_COMMON_SA
uvf:VOICE_COMMON_NATURAL_PIANO
uvf:VOICE_COMMON_EL_ABSOLUTE_VOICE
uvf:VOICE_COMMON_EKB_LEGACY
uvf:VOICE_COMMON_UNIVERSAL
uvf:VOICE_COMMON_FM
Obviously, we haven't seen any of the
interesting voices because YEM does not outright support these types nor does YEM ship with UVF files for SA, AEM, etc. This gives some credence to "UVF" meaning "Universal Voice Format".
Next, the triggerBlock has some interesting properties:
keyOffSound ON/OFF
legato ON/OFF
waveRandom ON/OFF
waveCycle ON/OFF
controller1On ON/OFF
controller2On ON/OFF
keyOnDelayTime integer
keyOffSoundKeyOffTime integer
Might legato, controller1On, and controller2On, function like the LEGATO, AF1 and AF2 controls in an Expanded Articulation voice?
Of course, if we want to build an SArt voice, then we need to know the waveform numbers of the sounds without attack. Good luck with that since we don't have a waveform list like the Motif/Montage.
More questions than answers,
