Sound Edit Issue?

Hi,
I've edited a bass voice to use on the left part which I'm playing on my bass pedals via midi. I realised that the voice was polyphonic which was no good so I went in to the voice edit, and set it to mono and related the voice. However, it is still sounding polyphonic on the bass pedals (Roland pk9). My first thought was do I have to alter something on the pedals which I don't as they are receiving. Also, I normally use a Yamaha sound module and change the polyphony on the module so that rules that out.

Any ideas?

I've found a fix... When changing the mono type from normal to legato, this fixes it. Very strange....
