The NAMM show in Anaheim opens in a little over two hours and Yamaha is said to have more than 90 new products to announce. The Yamaha booth will occupy an exhibition hall the size of football field. Let's hope a Genos firmware update is also announced. Coincidently the area had a magnitude 4.2 earthquake early this morning. It was centered about eight miles northeast of Trabuco Canyon, California, which is located 31 miles southeast of Anaheim. I hope none of the new gear fell over!😲😁

Nice set up updates, Paul. Crossing fingers and toes for a significant Genos update! I've got two Geni to update now. 😲

I am dismayed that they would not even update the Genos "special page" which is linked to from the main NAMM Yamaha page. Bunch of "will be available November 2017" posts, etc. I would think you would do some marketing work/updates in preparation for such an important show. Disappointing for sure and glad I did not make the trip to NAMM this year.

Hi --

Yamaha seem to be featuring the entire digital and arranger workstation line at NAMM. The only "featured product" on the synth side is the MX88.

I haven't seen any new updates for either Genos ~~or Montage~~. Haven't had time to check the Apple App store.

The Steinberg site seems sleepy, too. I'm wishing for some kind of NAMM pricing on Cubase Artist or Pro, now that Sonar's future is kaput.

For those of you who haven't seen these, they are published by Easysounds (who make expansion packs for PSR, TYROS and Genos) and sanctioned by Yamaha and although they claim to cover articles about Yamaha keyboard instruments, they completely ignore their arranger series. And they're published out of Europe, the seat of the majority of Yamaha arranger user base.

Really, Yamaha?

Yamaha is indeed demonstrating the Genos at winter NAMM and here is a tidbit that explains some of the features plus other information about this powerhouse arranger keyboard.
