Hi All, I like to use the song loop feature to play a part over and over to practice with but can you do the same with an audio file?

Check out the Audio Player's 'A-B Repeat Playback' function as described on page 80 of the Tyros5 Owner's Manual.

I figured out how to use the loop feature in song mode but apparently it doesn't work the same way in audio mode. Am I missing something?

Have you actually tried the procedure at the top of page 80 of the manual?  It relates to audio playback!  To my knowledge no one else has complained that the procedure does't work as described!

It actually does work!

A = start of loop
B = end of loop

When the loop is turned On, it will repeat until you stop it.

It works in song mode only, when I play an audio file it goes pass the second mark without returning to the first mark even with the loop button lit.

I'm not sure what you mean be "song mode".  There is no such thing in the USB Audio Player.  Here is a couple of screen shots showing the A Start Marker and the B End Marker.

I don't have a Tyros, but on my S970 there is a dedicated USB Audio Player panel button.

Hi --

It's not a Tyros 5 thing, but if you have an iPad, please check out Yamaha's Kittar app.

The Kittar app imports a song from your music library, analyzes it, and breaks it into sections. Then you can loop a section, slow it down, etc.
