Hi JohnH. You might have to find a willing audience instead?! 😂 Just kidding of course! 😉

For a Train horn use Trombone and the BaritoneHorn voices. Have the Trombone a bit louder than the BaritonHorn.

In the key of "C" the Train horn NOTE is "Eb".

That's what I use for doing the Wabash Cannon Ball song.

The closest I could get to the Chattanooga ChooChoo original whistle was using the sweet flute and whistle combination. The style I used was the Big Band Fast1 with a tempo of 142, which was real close to the Glenn Miller rendition.

Good luck,

It's a lot like sex.  You can do it yourself but it's better with outside help!  :)

Hi,,
On my tyos and the 970,,, I have Applause in the  GM list of voices under SFX... Does the Genos have the GM voice file and if
so is that Applause in a SFX file,, the last file in the batch.   I also have some applause sounds on Multipads,, right now can not
get to keyboard to check out which ones.   Maybe somebody has an ambience pad,, or effect pad which has that applause sound.
What is nice about having the sfx option in gm is that you can play multiple keys to get a bigger and better applause... encore.

Thanks to Gary and Drake for their tips and tricks to get special sounds like the choo choo.   Would like to know if that effect
is on any multipad available.   Would sometime like to organize a file for these special sounds not found in the SFX files.
Remember once somebody got a  "fire",,, sound effect.,, did not jot it down...
Could some of these tips and tricks be filed also in the Tip and trick board, is it still there????    These DYI ideas are good to know.

all the best
cheers
elaine

There is an IDC style called Big Band Train which is for this song and it is just the job.

Eileen, what's "IDC"?
"Learn" your music correctly, then "practice" it. Don't practice mistakes because you'll learn them.

That was funny Will.
I had to look it up again, and still find it as funny as the first time.
