Harmoniser without playing chord?
« on: December 21, 2017, 01:21:34 PM »
Hi, does the vocal harmoniser on the 970 only work when chords are played at time of singing or does it work without playing the keyboard IE acapella?

Realistically, the best way to do this would be to trigger the harmony with the right hand and turn the volume down on the right hand voices to zero, then you would hear nothing but the voices being harmonized. I guess you could do the same with the left hand and turn the style volume down to zero.

Hope this helps,

As far as I know the only arranger company's vocal harmonizer that stays "on" when the style stops is Ketron's.  I wish they all did!

The VH2 can also work without playing the keyboards. We have to choose Scale Diatonic in CHORDIAL mode. Then we choose KEY TYPE and set DEGREE for each of the three supporting vocals (Picture 2). That's all.
