Question about Expansion packs when migrating T5 to Genos
« on: December 10, 2017, 09:13:53 AM »
Hi all,

My Genos is due to arrive next week, and thanks to the people on this forum, I think I now have a pretty good idea what my options are when transferring my registrations, multipads ... to Genos.

One thing I am still not sure about though: Expansion Packs
I currently have 2 Yamaha Expansion packs on my Tyros 5. They are scheduled to be converted to Genos in april next year. So I will be using my Genos several months before I can install them.
Now the question : do I migrate the "Expansion" Folder from T5 to G or not ? (advantages in transferring it, advantages in not transferring it ? )

Any suggestions on the topic are of course also very welcome.

Thanks

Hi Rudy

You do not need to Migrate the Expansion Folder from your T5 Hard drive.  Everything else YES

All of your packs that you have on the T5 should work for the time being, and will get put into place when you make a Genus version of your YEM and install into the Genus.
