Genos - Drive Letters of USB-Stick Ports

(1/5) > >>

Runner4Fun:
Hi, all together,
GENOS has 3 USB-Ports which USB-sticks can use.
As I know from my Yamaha PSR-S970, the keyboard-internal letter of this USB-drive strictly is "I:/"
I would be grateful if somebody knows something about GENOS's drive-management.
Does GENOS
A - assign fixed drive letters to each of the USB-stick-ports OR
B - assign fixed drive letters to USB-sticks in temporal order of used USB-sticks with the keyboard,
>> for example for A:
USB 1 - I:/
USB 2 - J:/
USB 3 - K:/
>> for example for B:
first USB-Stick (independendly which USB-stick-port is used): I:/
second USB-Stick (independendly which USB-stick-port is used): J:/
third USB-Stick (independendly which USB-stick-port is used): K:/

Does somebody have an idea ?
Thanks in advance,
Klaus

Klaus,
USB1 is not alway the Port hidden underneath the keyboard.
Sometimes it appears as USB2.  None the less - it still works just fine.
I have not had any issues so far with the port names.

The hidden USB reads as USB 1. The others will read USB 2 or 3 which ever way you put then in. The only way the main stick may read differently is if you switch on or off with a stick left in the keyboard. This is something I never do so I don't get any problems with it changing.

Wim NL:
Why use a USB stick, when you have 58GB USER space?

I use it only for backup.
