Note velocity settings "haromny"
« on: October 09, 2017, 12:11:13 PM »
On the PA4X the Ensemble (hardware button) is the equivalent to Harmony (hardware button) on yamaha tyros and now Genos so my question is when we open the Ensemble menu to change the different harmony types on the PA4X we also have a feature known as "Note Velocity" and the discription from the manual is as follows...Velocity (dynamics) difference between the melody played with your right-hand and the added harmonization notes (-10 to 0)..will Yamaha have the equivalent "Note Velocity" feature specifically for Genos...would be helpful to know ... thanks in advance Tommy

On Tyros (and Genos perhaps) the difference in level of sound between melody and harmony notes is expressed  as harmony volume which is adjustable. Yamaha do not refer to it as velocity.

The owner's manual does not go into sufficient detail for harmony other than saying touching the setting icon takes you to a more detailed setup menu. It also says if you want to know more see the reference manual!
