PSR S970 - Custom Drum Kit sound on midi file
« on: September 09, 2017, 05:45:04 PM »
Help me please, I have a midi file, and I want to replace the standard drum sound with a custom gm kit that I made with YEM, but I can't. When I select the new sound on the mixer console, the keyboard doesn't allow me to make the change. I can use my new kit for styles but not for midi songs.  :(

Hello Rodrigo!

I tested here on my S970 and was giving the same problem.

I solved the problem as follows:
1) After selecting your "Midi" file open the "Song Creator";
2) Go to "TAB" -> "1/16" and in the letter "F" select the "Channel Drum" (Generally channel 10);
3) Go to "Filter" just check the box "Control Change";
4) press "Exit";

5) Leave the parameters as follows:
Ctrl     0         62           Bank MSB
Ctrl    32        67           Bank LSB

6) Now go back to the "SETUP" tab and check the VOLUME, PAN, FILTER, EFFECT, TEMPO, EQ and KEYBOARD VOICE boxes. Press "Apply" (number 8 ).
7) Save your MIDI.
8 ) Exit the screen in "EXIT".
9) Repeat all operations once or twice as if you were changing the "MSB" and "LSB" parameters to "1/16". If not repeating will not work.

10) Ready! Now you can select any Drum Kit!

I hope it works out!
