New Tyros 5 keyboards are available from Yamaha

Yamaha is now selling new Tyros 5 keyboards after a rest from manufacturing. Wonder if this is a sign that the new Yamaha board is being delayed?  Time will tell.   Lloyd

They are probably clearing there stocks. There are plenty of special offers going on here on 61 and 76 note.
All coming with fitted memory and free packs.

Hi,

A joke or reality ?
Maybe too much T5 stock yet ?
Selling the T5 is Yami's priority #1 ?
Might that be the reason why there ain't no T6/Genos news ? :-\
Will Yami be forced to continue the T5 sales whilst launching their new baby ?
What about the new T5 selling prices ?

I may hope this present T5 stock situation ( if true ) will not create any problems for all people involved.😅

I must admit this seems a rather strange thing to say. Yamaha want to sell keyboards so surly would not take a break from manufacturing them.

I got my new Tyros 5 a week ago and it is everything I expected and more, they are still being stocked by Yamaha and shipped to dealers. I bought it from audioworksCT and the price was great, if you are looking for a Yamaha keyboard Contact them and ask for Frank.
This is an upgrade from my PSR-S950 that I bought new three years ago. I will probably sell the 950.

So maybe the Tyros 5 will continue along with a new arranger model (GENOS?)

We will all know soon enough.  Time to go get more popcorn.

Aside from its color, shape, size, weight, etc., Iíll be interested to evaluate (to my own satisfaction) how much change, or improvement, is made over and above my Tyros 5.   Will it be a small, modest, or gigantic leap forward-----such as the magnitude of landing folks on Mars!  And, what will be the price range in comparison to the T5, when it first came out?

I agree, Bachus.

Yamaha are selling all their existing T5 stocks asap, I believe.

If my yesterday's message is correct the Tyros technology belongs to the past and the Genos will introduce
a complete new basic software program that might be applicable for alle future pro
arranger keyboards, the PSR S series included, I guess. ::)

Kind regards,

Hi Jeff --

Please feel free to discuss. But, as JoeH, Eileen, and others have mentioned, we won't really have any new hard information until the product is announced. (Or the manual is accidentally posted, again.)

In the meantime, we're either playing tunes or fixing leaky faucets. My spouse is lobbying for a new bathroom, not a new keyboard.  :)

All the best -- pj

Like Bachus said, Jeff, our members don't need to read these topics if the various comments offend them.

This reminds me of the 80 year old woman who called the television station and said she was so disgusted with the late night adult programming on their channel.  She said she had been watching the programming over that last few days and it was terrible.

The station manager was summoned to the phone to talk with her.  He asked her if any other of her channels were in working order on her television set.  She answered; "Yes."  The station manager then asked her if her remote was in working order.  She once again answered; "Yes."  The station manager then said; "I would suggest you try using your remote to change the channel."  ;D  ;D  ;D

As Joe would say; "More popcorn please."  ;)  ;D  ;D  ;D

No. I think, however, that there are too many Tyros5 inventories that need not be overdrawn because of the release of the new Tyros, so they now offer them at cheaper prices, but above the likely depreciation.

I am a little puzzled by all of the criticism of Jeff H. and others speculating about the new keyboard. After all, there exists an entire forum category called "The Next Yamaha Keyboard" which would seem to have been created for and naturally devoted to such speculation. Granted, some of the posts in question are outside of that board. But it would be up to the moderators to control the discussion if they felt it was out of bounds. I say let the speculation continue as long as the mods are ok with it and let those that don't like it just ignore it.

Hi Jeff

I to, would be happy to "Support" you if I could just work out why you need to enlist support.   ;D ;D

Seriously though I think you have misunderstood some comments which some how make you feel that you are not allowed to discuss the new keyboard.  Quote - "It is sad interesting issues like a new keyboard cannot be discussed here even if we might disagree."

You need to take the time to try and understand what people are saying.  My stance is simple. I like to try and keep unto date with what is being said on the forum, but I like a simple life.  It is difficult for many to keep track when there are so many fragmented threads.  Many people post the same comments on several threads because they feel they need to comment but forget that they have already made the comment on another thread.

Why can we not simply have one thread that make it easy to follow.

You have made several references to what I have said previously (sometimes a little out of context)  but you seem to take offence at what Lion43 had to say.  I do not think he meant to be unkind, he was most probably just saying what the impression he had came to.  Some people are using rude words, others are demanding me to end this exciting subject immediately.  You have lost me on this one, I have not seen anything like a demand.

There appears to be a feeling that some people are attempting to curtail "Free Speech"  - although we in England don't have a Constitution we still believe in free speech. However this does include things from ALL perspectives not just the one that fits your point of view.

So to summarise - feel free to continue the discussion, on what we think will be included (or Excluded) in the new board or discuss potential new technologies but lets NOT get polarised.

Regards

Bill

Jeff H.,

Members here cannot "demand" that you stop commenting about the new keyboard. Only the moderators/administrators can do that. If you stop commenting (and I hope you don't) it is your choice.

Bill,

I agree with you, but I would like to add one small point. No one should confuse a discussion forum with a "free speech" zone. While I am one of the biggest supporters of free speech, a discussion forum is regulated by the owner and the moderators. At times, people will disagree with their management decisions, but they pay for and administer the site so they are the law.

Hi Bachus,

I think I know now what might bother and/or frustrate some T5 owners.

It looks like it is difficult for them to accept Yamaha will introduce a new flagship
with a complete new software concept that will not work in their T5.
Also the present T5 price decrease might make them nervous.

I feel very sorry for them as I already said several times before.
But they should not blame me.

Hi Jeff

I have read both my messages and Lion's  again AND Again. Yet I can still not see any thing that resembles a demand.

I can only surmise why you choose to use such Emotive Language, but I will keep those thoughts to myself.  Maybe you could pin point a specific area.

I am truly sad that you feel you need to stop posting on the subject. I do not even know what you would like to see in a new KB.  We would all like to hear a positive statement of your own wishes or even possibly fears (things you think might disappear).

As a general comment:  I have had my T5 ever since they arrived in the UK.  I had pre-orderd it long before they arrived and was one of the first to get it in the UK.   I am very happy with it but none the less there is a very good chance I will upgrade again.  The only thing that might stop me upgrading again is the price.  The UK Pound has fallen more than 20% against the dollar , so I would expect Yamaha to compensate for this loss of revenue. It simply can I afford it.

One final word --  Lets stop this silly game and have a good meaningful discussion about something positive when it's available.

Regards
England
