Super Articulation Voices
« on: June 06, 2017, 04:02:56 PM »
Is there a list somewhere of which Yamaha Keyboards have the Super Articulation Voices on them? I know all of the Tyros line has them and some of the Motifs as well. Which PSR units have them, as well as any other Yamaha? Thanks.

Please take a look at this list, Tyros Trax.  It was compiled and furnished by Murray Best.  :)

I thinks Trax wants a list of keyboards which support SA. I don't know if such a list exists, but on the product page of every Yamaha keyboard, you can find this info under the technical specs tab.

You're correct, Robert.  :)

I thought he might be able to look through the list Murray had provided us and find this information, but I now see that's not so.  Nonetheless, I hope he will find this information useful.  :)

I believe Super Articulation 2 is only found on Tyros 4 and 5 but ordinary Super articulation 1 is on my S970.

I have another info, see table in picture:

All keyboards starting from S750 have Super Articulation voices. I did not look at earlier models.

Hi --

As Bad Mister (Phil Clendeninn of Yamaha) would say, "Tyros/PSR have Super Articulation (SA/SA2) voices, but Motif/MOX have Expanded Articulation (XA)."

If you're interested, I wrote a rather lengthy post here:

http://sandsoftwaresound.net/sa-and-sa2-yamahas-words/

Trax, do you have a more specific question in mind?

All the best -- pj

Thanks to Voodoo and everyone else. His list had exactly what I was looking for and for that, I am so thankful. The Psr970 has 2x the SA then the 770.

We know SA Voices go back to the Tyros 3, so maybe even the S900/S700... someone with those keyboards would know.  But it's not just a question of which keyboard models have SA Voices because each succeeding model has an increased number of SA Voices, which means the S970 may have more SA Voices than a T3    ???  The Tyros 3 was also the keyboard that introduced SA2 Voices.

It was the super articulated 2 voices that are on Tyros 4 and five that are different to the original ones.
