Cartridge and Floppy
« on: May 14, 2017, 03:49:29 AM »
The Psr 620 keyboard has a cartridge drive and floppy disk drive. I ask: can I copy the styles from the cartridge to the floppy disk? Is there a way to save styles from one cartridge to use on another keyboard

I wouldn't think so as the cartridges are sold as sets, and are proprietary to certain psr models.

Like Bernie, I doubt you would be able to do that, Adair, unless you had a special device to read the contents and copy the files to other media.  I looked at the manual for the PSR-620 and noticed that Yamaha said; Do not disassemble Music Cartridges.

Here's a link to the manual in the event you don't have a copy:

Last time I went to buy a floppy the store owner told me "we don't carry floppies or buggy whips anymore"

Hi :) I recently bought a floppy disk drive, but the floppies themselves were more difficult to find. I did this to upgrade my PSR 2100. Got very nostalgic when I fiddled with those floppies. Those were the days :)
