PSR-S900 break button
« on: May 04, 2017, 02:48:00 PM »
Hello, friends!

I just purchased a Yamaha PSR-S900 which is great!  Luv it!

In the manual, it states that I can create a break in the rhythm by using the "break" button.     I've tried pressing the button while a style is playing but nothing seems to happen.     There is a steady green LED on the key and the LED does not change when I press the button.

Am I doing something wrong?

Have a great day!

You're not doing anything wrong that I can see. The button should change color when it's pressed, and returns to the standard color when the break is finished.

It's possible the style you've selected doesn't support the break function, but in that case, the button's light should be off.

I'd try a different style to see if that makes any difference. But if you still don't hear a break, you probably need to have the contact beneath the button fixed.
