I'm just  curious to know if I can use the buttons for

You would store a. Ustom
Style in the user section or on a USB and select them using the buttons

The spell check went a bit haywire on my previous post and I did not notice.
When you have a custom style you have to save it somewhere - either on your USB memory stick, or you store it in the user section of the style memory. On the style screen there are tabs at top marked user and USB. You select these to find styles stored there. Have you read the manual?

Yes,
I just tried it..  but according to what you said
I understand that I didn't explain my self properly  ;)

I meant to say that when u press pop and rock it will
Show me my own styles that are in the category
Of pop and rock and my dance styles will be shown when
I press the dance button

Also I think I need to rename the form title  :)

You cannot store your own styles in the on-board styles section. You save them to the user section or a USB. You have to create your own folders, sub folder set up in the user area or on a USB so you can easily find them. This can look a lot like the way the on board folders are set up, i.e. By genre, or can be any other way you like, by title, type, tempo , whatever.  Most people would use a USB because you can store thousands of files on it, download files from this site or others on a computer, move it between keyboards, copy the files onto a back up etc etc.
once you set up a folder/ sub folder system, you then can access them using the buttoms in the same way as you do the on-board styles, except you look under the User or USB tabs.

I do not have a S970 but as far as I can see you cannot link User Styles to the Style Selection Buttons.
On the TYROS series this easy to acheive.

Are you saying that on the Tyros you can,
or you have a good alternative and if so, what is it?

They can be stored in the user area and you need to select the Extension/User button to access them from either the onboard or USB memory.

Good luck,

Plug in the USB with the styles. Select styles and tab over to USB. The tabs are at the top of the style screen and you use the buttons at the top of the screen to move the selected tab. Any styles on it will then be visible. As I said in an earlier post you probably should organize the styles on your USB into folders and sub folders so you can find them easily. Also note that any styles you save have to be uniquely named. It's just like saving/retrieving files on a computer.
