« on: March 16, 2017, 12:57:52 PM »
I All,

i need your assistance for one of the style creation work.

I have a SPD 20X octo PAD. also has PSR S770 keyboard, is it anyway can i create the grove in the OctoPad and convert it to style file format and use it in the keyboard to create new style? if yes, kindly help me how to do it.

Thanks & Regards,
David

Well first you have to save the groove as a MIDI song file.  Then you can use a free program to convert the MIDI to a style file.

midi2style:    -->  http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/software.htm

Roland uses different drum note mapping than Yamaha... unless you are using the GM drum Kit.  So you may have to edit drum notes after you convert the file.

You can use the SPD20 to play "Normal"  Voices too if you assign the SPD transmit channel to channel 11 - 16, but it will probably be easier to play any musical phrases right on the S770 keyboard.
