What values are used to send sysex message to change a style
« on: February 24, 2017, 06:35:06 PM »
Hi

With regard to PSR S770 and I assume other PSR boards, the ref manual suggests that a style file can be changed using a sysex command when sent to the keyboard.  Does any one know where to find the values relating to dd dd (where dd dd = style number) in the sysex string as shown on page 105 in ref manual?  I would expect this to be similar to voice program numbers but do not find anything in the manual listing numbers for styles

Thanks

Hi

Download and instal one of Michael Bedesems software programs. Producer or MixMaster.

In the program installation folder open the appropriate "dat" file in NotePad

Thank you Jorgen

I have installed Mixmaster and am able to send style message to PSR 770 as well as other changes that are available.  However do you know of any program that can just deal with style changes in real time.  My setup is a Technics GA3 controlling the PSR for basically as an arranger module, but physically it is just a bit out of reach as you can see in attached. I have been thinking of using Midi Designer Pro for Ipad to develop controller app but before I invest a great deal of time of to enter numerous sysex messages  I just want to be sure there is nothing that may be already available.  Thanks for your help and replies.

THanks
