microphone for PSR 900 what jack size
« on: January 18, 2017, 12:21:12 AM »
Hi,

I am thinking of buying a mic for my psr 900 but they seem to have different sized jacks. Can anyone tell me what size works with the psr 900 as I can't find it in my manual or anywhere online.

It takes a 1/4-inch jack.  Be sure to get a high-impedance cable.  If you search this site, using the Search function, you will find references to the exact cable that works.  Some of them, even though they have the right size jack, aren't wired correctly.
I'm not where I can look this up right now, but I'm sure someone else will chime in.

Neil,  Take a look at the Samson Q7.  I've been using mine for about 10 years.
Comes highly recommended by GaryD and DonM.

Samson Q7

Scroll down and you can also buy the cable you'll need.

I posted this in Neil's other mic thread with an Amazon link to a cable that should be OK depending on length needed. This one is wired to take the balanced mic connection and change it to the unbalanced input of the PSR-S900....
