From Yamaha?...   How about more FREE expansion packs and maybe a Euro Dance 2 or EDM Voice and Style Pack... now that would be cool!

 ;)

I think we will see a late 2017 Tyros replacement... Myabe just a 2017 anouncement, with delivery in 2018, but by the end of this year we will know in what direction Yamaha takes his high end arranger...

We also might see a 76 key psr 976...   with the huge succes of the 76 key version of the T5 this wouldnt surprise me...  Maybe even a high end DGX also on par with the psr 970...

I could get interested in a high end DGX.

What I have trouble understanding is Yamaha's Clavinova line.  They add in arranger features but at about the level of their PSR E400 series.

Our church has a nice Clavinova...I'm guessing $5k -$10k.  The arranger features of this instrument are really basic.

CVP 709 is comaparable to a Tyros 4/5 crossbreeded with a stagepiano...

Here in the U.S., the CVP 709 starts out at $15,000.

That's a bit of a bump even from the Tyros 5.

That seems crazy. In the UK, the 'list' price is £7500, the 'street' price is somewhat less than that!
It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

not nearly...

Thats Yamaha... their arrangers and CVP piano's are way more expensive in the US then in europe...

However their synths and workstations are cheaper in the US then in Europe...

I never understood why these instruments are so much more expensive in the US...

Also i also dont understand that for adding a bit of furniture to a tyros4 ... it becomes 2 times as expensive (CVP).  Which again proofs a previous statement that Yamaha pricing is not based on production cost as well as development costs...  its based on what Yamaha thinks people will pay for their products...

Boy... I can hardly wait for the Tyros replacement to be released so we can start speculating about the next PSR arranger.   ;D
