screen on PSR-900 going away
« on: August 02, 2015, 09:37:28 AM »
A friend of mine has a PSR-900 for a few years and the screen started to fade out about 6 months ago. Now it's completely DARK.
What can I do to get this fixed ? (Repair places, or any other suggestions are well appreciated. I live in San Jose, California, USA).
Thanks in advance.

Call Yamaha USA.  It's a known defect.  They have been replacing screens long after warranty expires.  Not sure they will this far out though.  Steve Deming at Yamaha can help if you can get hold of him.

Hello,

it is possible that the problem is only the neon lamp and is not necessary to replace the entire display. Please read my post "PSR-S900 Display repair with US $ 24.00".
