Import Genos2 patch list into Cubase
« on: May 12, 2024, 07:16:43 PM »
I've downloaded the "Cubase G2 patch list" from Yamaha. https://europe.yamaha.com/en/products/musical_instruments/keyboards/arranger_workstations/genos2/downloads.html

It's a TXT file, BUT the Cubase MIDI Device Manager ONLY allows installation of XML files. (Very frustrating, since Yamaha is under the Steinberg umbrella, while other companies such as KORG have provided their customers with the Cubase natural XML files that are needed...)

Does anyone have clear instructions for Mac how to install the Cubase TXT patch list into Cubase?

Thank you!

But I need to figure out how to do it on a Mac.

I opened the "hidden" Library, and spent a lot of time navigating around, but could not find the patch folder. Searching didn't bring it up either.

Any ideas on how to do it on a Mac?

EDIT:

Found it:
