Title: FOOTSWITCH for multipad
Post by: mhack on August 18, 2022, 02:40:41 AM
I assigned footswitch to chorus voice and assigned it to multipad. It would turn on but not off. Volume pedal is working fine. Any suggestions, please?
Thanks.

Multi pads always have to be turned of by hand.

Or by using Padstopper in a registration.

Cheers,
Fred

Hi Mhack,

you can assign the Multi Pad 1-4 buttons or the Multi Pad Sync Start button or the Multi Pad Stop button to the desired pedals (foot switches).

These pedals then behave exactly like the corresponding buttons on the panel. As is well known, you can only START the relevant Multi Pad with buttons 1-4. To stop all currently running Pads, press the Multi Pad Control STOP button. To stop a specific Pad (when multiple pads are running), hold down the STOP button and then press the desired Pad button (1-4).

By the way, if you work with multiple Registrations per song title, you don't actually need to work with such pedal assignments for Multi Pads: you can store the desired Pad(s) into the relevant Registrations with activated Sync Start, and playing the next chord with your left hand will start the Pad(s). To STOP the Pads you use the well-known "Pad Stopper" or alternatively just any one-shot Pad where you set the volume to zero. This Pad Stopper is also memorized in the relevant Registration with activated Sync Start, and after calling up the Registration the Pads are stopped when playing the next chord.
