Title: Access Mp3 files on Tyros 5 USB
Post by: ian665 on August 17, 2022, 05:37:03 AM
I have a Tyros 5 which I haven’t used for 3 years. I have some mp3 files on the memory stick which is plugged in on the front USB port. I used to play along to these MP3’s. My problem is I just cannot work out how to even access these files on the USB. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the PSR Tutorial Forum, Ian!

To view MP3 files on the Tyros5, you must be in Audio Recorder/Player mode.

So please press the "Mode" button in the "Audio Recorder/Player" section on the control panel. If you now press "File" ("A" button) and (with TAB) switch to the USB drive (USB1), you should be able to see and load your MP3 audio files. Then press the "Play/Pause" button to start playback.

Please also refer to page 78 of the Tyros5 Owner's Manual ("Playing Back Audio Files").

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris
