Title: Yamaha PSR-8000 Demos MIDI

Searching for demo songs MIDI files from PSR-8000, I miss especially its "Sweet Tenor" demo. By the way, it's not the same like for example in PSR 740.

I have a PSR8000 with the factory demos on board and would gladly share, however I don't know how the midifile can be downloaded from the keyboard, any idea? Is it possible to use the 'Host' to PC output on the keyboard to view and extract the files?

I think you can record the midi data using host to pc output

Thanks for your reply.

However, I believe the demos are most likely stored as .wav files and cannot be transmitted as midi when recorded to PC. I can record the keyboard demos directly into Cubase (my main DAW) as audio but not as midi. Saving as midi-files is therefore not an option.

Someone share me the midi files of the factory demos of the PSR 7000, so I think you can record the midi data to cubase

Hi all,

In order for MIDI data to be output at the PSR-8000's MIDI OUT terminal, it is important that the HOST SELECT switch is in the "MIDI" position. (The MIDI connectors do not function when the HOST SELECT switch is in any other position.)

However, with many Yamaha arranger keyboard models, the DEMO songs are generally not output via MIDI OUT (probably for copyright reasons). Unfortunately, I don't know if the latter also applies to the PSR-8000.
