Gday...have an E433 .My G note has stopped..2nd octave.
The note was unusally loud (high pitched). This happened 6 or so times and then nothing.Tried a reset..no luck.
Had a Bflat stop working about a year ago..put away the E433 and dragged out my E233..fired up the E433 about a month later and all was fine.
Any thoughts.

There is a rubber contact strip under the keys, strip of 12 for each octave and 13 for the top octave. A loud note or a note not working is indicative of a dirty or faulty contact. The strips are easily replaced and cheap. I have an old E443 and had numerous keys not working properly, replaced all 5 strips and some broken black keys and all is ok. I purchased the contact strips from Yamaha, they cost about AUS$6 each with a $12 delivery. If you are willing to fix it yourself, I have a service manual for the E443, the E433 should be the same. Page 9 and 14-15 apply. You can try cleaning the contact strips but I found this fix is only temporary.

If you're a first timer opening the keyboard.
Just be very careful with the bottom panel.
You might see some White Stuff on the keys, Don't remove that it's grease.
I had used mild soap and water with earbuds to clean the contacts.
But I think Alcohol would be better ( ask the other members)

I've had success with alcohol (in more ways than one). :)
