Title: SX700 PRESET SONGS
Post by: Paul Avaset on August 04, 2021, 05:45:10 PM
Hello, this is my first ever post on any forum so here goes
I am new to all of this and have for my sins an SX700, which I am very pleased with

I have just found quite by chance it`s ability to follow a score and wait while you find the right note to play along with one of the preset songs.

I gather these are midi and have a score associated with them, what do not understand is how is the score is attached and are the midi songs which can be bought on Yamaha the same? do they have the same functionality?

And do other midi files function the same

I find the guide facility very helpful as a beginner
 advice please

The midi files don't really have a score attached to them. What happens is that when the keyboard plays back a midi file, it can generate a score on the screen from any one or two channels in the file. So, any midi file can be used in this way.

Thanks Derek, that would explain why I cannot find midi files WITH scores on the web
