A friend of mine has an S900, and I found that it does not load the set of styles I have on my USB thumb drive.
However, the S910 and Tyros3/Tyros4 do load styles from the same USB drive.
Anyone has an idea on how to correct this ?

Most likely the styles are SFF2 format, that the PSR-S900 cannot use. Jorgen Sorensen has a utility that can convert SFF2 files to SFF1 for the 900. It's at http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/sf2c/index.htm Be sure to save copies of the original files before doing the reformat so you will have the SFF2 versions for use on newer keyboards.

Thanks for the hints. I will forward this info to my friend who owns this S900.
I just notice that there are very few posts in this S900 section, while other PSRs have huge amount of posts.
This indicates that very few bought the S900 !!!

I have an S900. Never felt the need for anything newer. Less posts for the S900 just means users have had less problems that they need to post about ;) :)

I think this website had a technical issue some time ago that resulted in the loss of some older posts, including a lot of the original S900 messages. Postings about more recent models were not affected because the posting dates were newer.

Yes, we had a Big Accidental Purge when moving to a new server. I think several members still have their PSR 9000😀

I still have a PSR400 arranger (although I'm not sure why :-\). It was the old PSR400 that intrigued me enough to buy a PSR900.
That old PSR900 stuff that was accidentally purged was a good resource when doing search to solve a problem :(.
