Title: reading registrations- away from the keyboard
Post by: anon125 on June 24, 2021, 05:39:37 PM
Okay, i have 100 registration banks on a usb.
yes i do know how to use them!
but i need to find out which are the slowest ones anything over 90 - well it aint gonna happen anytime soon! (age)
i can go thru them on the keyboard one at a time but hopefully there is a better way to see all the data at once!!

can it go on a spread sheet?

yes i can edit it each of the 8 settings on each registration to make it slower, but that would take forever - with the consequent mistakes!
polite suggestions welcome.
thanks for your patience with my difficulties.

You can make a list of everything you have in Registrations using the Yamaha Registration Manager software. In the list you can also see the pace that interests you. Watch the video where this is explained, there are English subtitles.

mission accomplished.
PS the captions do not arrive when you download the video

Subtitles are not an integral part of the video. They are inserted subsequently and synchronized via code. So you can choose to be German or Spanish.
I will always be on Youtube, I will not delete it. There will always be subtitles with it.

It is important that the mission is completed.  ;)

Hi anon125,

to have the subtitles included, instead of directly downloading a YT video, you can use a Screen Recording program. I recommend the free, but very professional Open Source program "OBS":
>>> https://obsproject.com/

You can define key shortcuts for starting / stopping the recording (e.g. F7 / F8). While watching a YT video in full screen mode, you can start / stop the screen recording then via the defined keys.

Best regards,
Chris

You can use VLC player and insert subtitles into it.
The subtitle can be found in the link below the video.

You don't have to write anything.
Download the subtitle file (the link is in the video description) and add it to the VLC player.

Hi anon125,

depending on your browser, you may need to click "Show more" to see the links in the YT video description.

Via the fourth link in the video description of the YT video "Listing the content of Registration Memory Bank - Yamaha Registration Manager (MBestSoft) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkYjZIpgwW0)" you can download the subtitle file (.srt) for use with the VLC player.

Best regards,
Chris

... do i have to sign in or join youtube?

If you get a message (rather long text) when you visit YouTube (or Google), you have to agree to these terms and conditions (or first click on "Customize" and then agree).

However, you do NOT have to sign in or register with YouTube / Google.

Best regards,
Chris
