Title: Tabs and Drawbars again
Post by: RobertM on March 12, 2021, 01:55:51 AM

Searching for the elusive sweet Home organ sound, have been experimenting and come up with a few that, to my ear, are a little different. I've only included suggestions for styles as the settings below are for voices only.

First set:
Tremolo OFF (no rotary).
Vibrato ON, Depth 2 or 3, Speed 36, Response 3,
Harmony 4-Way Closed 2  (*important)
Use for Hammond and Wersi too.

Flutes:
Home Hollow Tibias,  Ballroom, Slow Foxtrot, generally 8va.
                        8
                        8 & 4
                        8 & 1
                        8 & 2 & 1
                       Ballroom, Swing Fox
                        8
                        8 & 4
                        8 & 4 & 2
                        8 & 4 & 2 & 1
These in Right 1,   add a Sax in R2 or 3 with a little extra reverb  as a solo or lead. Save everything to Reg or OTS.

Try with: Dance Ballerina, Out of Nowhere, You Don't Know Me, etc

I'm sure there is nothing new here for experienced players and any
comments welcome. Seems using vibrato rather than rotary, and closed harmony make the difference.

Robert.

@Graham

Seems to be Tyros 4.
A 1: 1 conversion is not possible because the T5 does not contain some voices.
Here are the pathetic attempts:

Not sure if these are to your liking, but I use these Drawbar & Leslie settings quite often.
Un-zip and copy these voices to the user section on your keyboard.
I have made significant changes to Leslie speed fast and slow, spin up/down, crossover freq. and several other settings.

I use these on my SX900, so should work on most newer keyboards.

Feel free to share with others.

Hello again,

ArtS. I've rattled through you collection which all work on the SX900 and I'm sure there will be some I'll keep as favourites. Many thanks.

meyrick. The .rgt files certainly are of use. I like the drawbars and notice you use some with closed harmony which is becoming my favourite effect. I don't use registrations very much as they change my settings and prefer OTS, but will certainly use some of your drawbar settings. Also, many thanks.

wersianer. Unfortunately your T5 conversions would not work with the SX900. Sorry, but thanks anyway.

Regards,
Robert.

Hi GrahamUK & WERSIANER

These Home organ files were originally for Tyros 4 but have been converted with YRM for my PSRSX900/NP31 setup.
However, they can easily be reverted to T4 or T5 using YRM. If you have problems, let me know and I will do it and repost.
Regards G. meyrick

@ Meyrick

My attempt to rebuild the RGTs for the T5 didn't go so well. So I would be very interested in your result.

You can't attach anything now .You will need to host it on something like Boxnet.

Thank you Eileen for that little gem. Nice to know I've been pushed into the outer darkness and restricted from assisting others. Perhaps the web site should be updated.

Actually you can post .rgt attachments. See my screenshot showing the allowed file types. A '.rgt' file won't exceed the maximum size allowed.

Note, if you select 'Preview' before posting, the attachment won't show in the Preview window. However, as long as it's showing in the 'Attach' window, it should appear when you post it.

Cheers

Hi frozzers. It was rgt files I was attempting to post, but for some reason not given, they were refused. I'll have another go and see what happens.
Thanks
meyrick

The attached rgt files are for for Tyros5.
So as to save any confusion I will attach SX900 following this post

This is what I just did with the previous message:

1. Click on 'Reply'.
2. Click on the '+' sign next to 'Attachments and other options' below the message box.
3. Click on 'Choose File' in the 'Attach:' box.
4. Navigate on your computer to the '.rgt' file you want to upload and click 'Choose for Upload'. This file will then appear in the 'Attach:' box.
5. Type your message in the message box (unless you've already done so).
6. Click 'Post'.

Should work ...

Cheers
