Title: What is the best PC MIDI player that allows you to view music?
Post by: juliofluminense on February 25, 2021, 03:27:22 PM
What is the best MIDI player for PC that makes it possible to see the scores of each TRACK separately?

I know that it is possible to do this with FINALE software, but I wanted one that was practical and fast.

I'm not user myself, but maybe MuseScore is a solution?
I think it can import midi files, and maybe place each channel in a separate track / score. And it's at a very low cost, as far as I can see it's free.

There's also a free "lite" version of Notation called Notation Player:

Hi Jan :

XGWorks : only SFF1 style voices are working and the style extension needs to be *.sty.

The SX XGW voice lists are not made ( yet  ).

They are available for all Tyros models though - as far as I know -.
The Ty5 XGW voice list is mostly working fine for my SX900.

Best wishes, Jeff

Hi Jeff

Thanks

The SX600 has the same midi specification as the Genos as may believe it
- Indeed i can record styles like with the Genos
- can use mobilsheets pro with the Genos settings.

So maybe it working for Ty5 and SX xg works
But you need a complete setup for SX900 to use XGworks at fullest ?

Its old XGworks so not he newest styles are to use there  ? ( must read about it more )

Try MidiSheetMusic. It will load the MIDI file and you can have the file as one or more lines of music. You can also print the score and have the notes in colour.
