Title: Setting up a registration bank for eight songs
Post by: antonuk on October 21, 2020, 01:53:57 PM

Hi, I'm migrating from the PSR 950 onto a PSR-SX900 and looking to set up registration banks 'one song per registration'

Started to go quite well but still I'm not able to effect the final stage that I require.

Format so far:

New Folder/Registration with song title

First bank - song intro

Second bank - verse

Third bank - chorus

Fourth bank - ending , say.

The problem I find and desperately need your help with is this: In pressing any of the above four banks on screen, the corresponding memory bank doesn't light up automatically upon pressing the screen, needing me to physically press that particular memory bank key as well to effect the desired voice, variations etc, This requires careful counting to make sure you press the right memory button.

HELP - I'm sure there is a way to do this. What am I missing? How can I make that happen? - I can't believe that Yamaha has left out such a straightforward process, which works really well on the PSR950.

Many thanks - AntonUK

Your first problem, Anton, is your terminology is backwards, so your post will confuse a lot of people. A registration is a single button. A bank is the set of 8 registrations.

The way to get a registration to load is to press its button. Pressing something on the screen won’t do it

The other way, which I do, is to set up a registration sequence, then advance through the sequence using a pedal.

Cheets,
