Title: Expansion packs

I have downloaded few expansion packs, however the file format is .cpf.

Is there a way I can install to PSR S950?

It seems S950 only accept .yep file extension.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi ramessazeem,

welcome to the Psrtutorial forum!

PSR-S950/750/650 models can only use Expansion Packs in ".yep" format. And you only ONE Expansion Pack can be loaded/installed at a time.

Packs in .ppf/.cpf format only work with models which are compatible with the Yamaha Expansion Manager ("YEM"). These are: PSR-Sx7x models, PSR-A3000, Tyros5, Genos and PSR-SX models.

Unfortunately, .ppf or .cpf Packs cannot be converted to previous formats like .yep or .uvn/.uvd/.tvn/.tvd.

By the way: You can find many .yep Packs for free on the Internet. Here just one example:

Hi ramessazeem,

on this Russian site you can download many Packs in .yep format for your S950:

Click on the "yadi.sk/..." links. Basically you can also use .yep Packs made for S650 / S750 / A2000 on the S950.

Note: Since the posts on this site are from 2015, some of the links may no longer work.

Click also on the other pages of this site (2, 3, 4, etc.), and be sure NOT to download Packs for PSR-S670 / 770 / 970 / 775 / 975 / A3000 / PSR-SX / Tyros5 / Genos (.ppf format).

Some of these downloads are relatively big (300+ MB)!

If needed, you can call up the Russian site via the Google Translator. But the download links will probably not work in the translated site. Therefore, open the original page in another browser tab and use the download links there.
