Title: Psr3000 speakers
Post by: sosayelbes on September 17, 2020, 09:38:24 AM
Hi all. Does anyone know the characteristics of the psr 3000 speakers? I know they measure 12cm and are 6 ohms, but I'm not sure what power they are. In the manual it says something of 15w, but I do not believe that that is the power of the speaker. Any suggestion. Thank you.

Thanks for the service manual. I have been seeing it, but it does not specify how many watts the speaker is, only the dimensions, I know it is 6 ohms from pictures. If anyone knows the watts I would be grateful.
a greeting

Not sure why you would not believe the power rating, seems about right to me. But in any case, power rating is not all that great a guide to how loud speakers are. The PSR3000 speakers are ok for a normal room, and a few not very noisy people. But not generally enough for even a small gig.

What I want is to change them, because they distort something.  That's why I want to put them the same, so that the sound remains just as good.

In stead of changing the speakers you could consider buying a good set of computer speakers or studio speakers and use them with your keyboard. You will get better sound. To open the keyboard, take out the speakers and install new ones is some job!!
I advice you to check the sound of the keyboard using headphones, to be sure that it is the speakers and not for instance the tone generator! What kind of distortion is it you hear? Hissing? Cracling?

Toril’s advice is spot on. 4 inch monitors are not expensive, even the cheapest will be much better than the built ins and an easy solution.

I appreciate your advice, but the only thing I want is to replace the speakers, since I use it a lot to carry it from one place to another, and it is more comfortable for me not to have to carry speakers, that is why I wanted to know the power that the speakers have. 3k speakers, to put them similar and that the sound is the real one of this keyboard.
Thank you
