Hello from Washington D.C.
I am a new Genos owner and would like to purchase the Genos Tipsters Information Pack to help me learn this instrument. I have never owned a PSR or Tyros so everything is new to me. I tried purchasing this online yesterday and it appears that they do not ship to the U.S. I was wondering if anybody on this forum would be willing to ship it over here? I would be very grateful.
Has anybody else bought this? It is expensive, but I think it has a lot of good information to help somebody who is very unfamiliar with the content.

Hello ???
I'm not sure you should spend your money on this expensive pack.
I'm afraid it's already outdated because there have been a couple of Genos system updates since the release of this pack. Many of the new or updated functions of Genos won't be dealt with in the pack.
An (free) alternative would be the tutorial videos of Mike Mixon of KeyboardAmerica on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNEYpEpx7AR-PNE4dTR77xQ/videos
In addition of his 'Song of the week' he has many instructional videos.

And do not be afraid to post questions here. There are many Genos owners willing to help😀

I appreciate the advice! I'm going to check out the videos of Mike Mixon, I did not know about them. I'm looking for basic how-to, step-by-step instruction. Most Youtube videos I have found are either disjointed, poorly organized, or don't go step-by-step.
Appreciate the help!

Also check out the tutorials (all the way down) in the Audio& Video section on the Yamaha site. And of course all the demos and features.
see https://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/musical_instruments/keyboards/arranger_workstations/genos/audio_video.html#product-tabs
My name is Stijn. What's yours?

Hello Stijn! That's an interesting name! Where are you from?
My name is Robert, I live in Maryland about 15 miles from Washington, D.C. Very nice to meet you.

Hi Robert,
Nice to meet you too and welcome to this forum.
I live in a town near Hasselt in Belgium.
Feel free to ask questions. Members on this forum are eager to help.
Here are a few tips;
- make sure you have your Genos updated to version 2.02 so you can use all the new features
- download and install the latest YEM (Yamaha Expansion Manager), version 2.7
- Yamaha have made their Expansion Packs available for download free of charge,
see the site MusicSoft: https://shop.usa.yamaha.com/downloadables) - if you're new, just Register and then you can download the packs.
(you can also download them from my DropBox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dbwizfkhgca9vfv/Free%20Genos%20Packs%20Jul%202020.zip?dl=0 )

Thank you for the tips Stijn!
I look forward to many pleasant exchanges with you and the rest of the Genos community. I love the fact that many members are in Europe and other places. So cool.

Hi
Chokbu has a lot of information for you to seek out on You Tube.
Lots of handy hints
You will get just as much information by using You Tube and asking questions
For £399 you could purchase a decent set of speakers. Not the Genos ones. Much better quality ones. But that also is a personal choice.
You just have to take your time and all will reveal itself
Look for Chokbu and his magic hat as it lands on the S. for synth!! :P He never misses ;D
All the best
John

I purchased a pack and wish I never did, there is very little information on it no one here as much as you will find on keyboard America. I have bought two instruments from Tyros Tipsters And I feel quite ripped off with this rather small and very basic bundle. Needless to say I will not be using them in future.

I bought my T5 from them and a Genos. Incredibly helpful guys and they included a set of 6 dvd`s . I looked at their instruction pack but decided against it. (silly price)
Just like to second the advice on looking at Keyboardamerica.com
