Title: Send MIDI clock via internal wifi
Post by: chony on August 31, 2020, 07:06:06 PM
I see that it is possible to wirelessly send MIDI voice information (such as MSB, LSB and Program Change) from the Genos to an iPad.

I'm wondering if anyone has figured out how to send MIDI Clock Output from Genos to Ableton Link on an iPad without use of an external router. I've tried it without success so far.

From the manual,

You can make connections by one of the following methods.
• Connecting via the wireless LAN function (*1).
• Connect to the [USB TO HOST] terminal via a Wireless MIDI Adaptor: UD-BT01 (*2)
• Connect to the MIDI terminals via a Wireless MIDI Adaptor: MD-BT01 (*2)
*1 The wireless LAN function may not be included depending on your area.
*2 These accessories are sold separately, but may not be available depending on your area.

The previous reply was extracted from the Genos manual , sorry; but may also apply to the Tyros 5 , if not available in your area then.....

The bundled USB Wireless LAN Adaptor lets your Tyros5 connect to a network.
This section covers the operations which may be needed to operate the instrument
directly on the way of connecting to a network.
For connecting with an iPhone/iPad, see both the iPhone/iPad Connection Manual and
the following instructions.
First, connect the bundled USB Wireless LAN Adaptor to the rear-side [USB TO
DEVICE] terminal of Tyros5.
