Title: Doubts about packs

Do packs made for other models like the s970 (or s670) or sx700 work normally on the sx900? Or do the packs only work if they are made for the exclusive model?

That is, can I use packs made for other models in the sx900?

Yes. All packs made for a lower model works perfectly fine on any higher model keyboard (for eg. everything below SX900 i.e. SX700/S970, etc) but might not work the other way round.

The older model pack format is .ppf and then a .ppi is created. The .cpf may not work if you are exchanging packs with someone else.

The free packs seem to have a different format now and will only load into YEM if you have that keyboard.
