I noticed that they are only CPF files ...can we still extract the style files if it is not PPI ?
-
Once you load the packs you can save the styles one at a time to your user or USB.
-
When cpf is installed in the keyboard, all Styles can be extracted at once via USB Storage Mode.

Hi Tyroslover,
Yamaha says the new YEM version 2.7.0 only supports Windows 10 an 8.1 (only 64-bit!). Therefore, it will definitely NOT work on a 32-bit Windows 7. If you have a 64-bit version of Win7, you could try if the new version can be installed. (I have not tried this so far.)
Best regards,
Chris

Hi
All works as expected.
I cannot believe people are still on Windows 7.
Must be slow as a ZX Spectrum.
Soon we will have Quantum Computers.
"Just imagine"!!, "You only have to just look and observe the machine and it will turn all your songs into wave format" . The trouble is that you must not look away. ;) ;D

Soon we will have Quantum Computers.
.... And we will be able to play 5 different scores simultaneously...
-
That reminds me of that song By the Fortunes " Here ,There and Everywhere"
Oh I forgot to mention Yem, Yem, Yem Yum, Yem!! ;D :P

Yummy yummy :) :)

I did not tried on x86 system, but I saw that if you don't uninstall the old version, and you install 2.7.0, it will overwrite the version from Program Files (x86). If you uninstall old version, it will create distribution folder in Program Files folder.

Hi Vali,
I just tried to install YEM V2.7.0 on a virtual Windows 7 (32-bit) version (in VirtualBox): The setup failed with an error message "The software cannot be installed on this version of Windows" (translated from German). It makes no difference in this case whether you uninstall the old YEM version beforehand or not.
Unfortunately, I don't have a Windows 7 (64-bit) version here at the moment. Maybe someone could test whether YEM V2.7.0 can be installed on a 64-bit Win7.
Best regards,
Chris

The new version doesn't support
Win 7 and 32bit
Only 64bit is supported.

As Microsoft no longer support Windows 7 there is no point in Yamaha doing so. As these programs get larger they need faster speeds to operate.

Sorry Chris for misunderstanding , I quoted entire post, but it had to be a reply to the first thing, about 64 bit.
Even if YEM it supports only 64 bit OS, if you already have old installation of 32 bit YEM 2.6, the new installation will overwrite old installation. So, 2.7.0 it will install on Program Files x86, which is strange for a 64 bit app.
That was the idea!
PS: I did not tried it on a 32 bit Windows 10, I don't know what will happening, but I think it will be an error that tells users it cannot support 32 bit OS! This is another problem for those users which have OEM installation of 32 bit OS! They will have to upgrade OS, which means costs! So I think they will stay, at least for a time, to 2.6.0 old version!
